Echoes of Grace

In Echoes of Grace, Luchandro Franca explores the vulnerability within the current generation of the black community. By capturing his model in a way that demonstrates vulnerability but also strenght, Franca aims to illustrate how vulnerability within the black community can surface in unexpected ways and quite moments, often subconsciously.

Intrigued by the photograph of Melba Moore  taken by Jack Robison, he decides to explore why this specific photograph resonated so deeply with him. This led him to use this photograph as an inspiration for Echoes of Grace. The project was shot on 35mm and 120mm film and developed the darkroom, emphasizing the inherent vulnerability of analog photography.
